Dramatic improvement

Came in just after nine and Juliet was sitting up in bed talking to the nurse about whether she would prefer a mug or a beaker for her breakfast tea!! They carried on this unreal conversation while I was saying “how? why? what…?”

Not sure yet when her condition improved so dramatically – but we’ve seen her do this before, in the JR hospital in Oxford last February. She’s now having a breakfast of cornflakes, toast and tea – and some chocolate biscuits that I found for her.

She said she could remember us smiling at her yesterday. Her speech and coordination are still very poor. But she knows what a chocolate biscuit is.

About hodders

Husband and proud father of two daughters. Now a widower. Trying to balance between not dwelling on Juliet's death, but telling the world how much I loved her. Tricky.
